Police Warn of Minors Exposed to Violence During Protests
The State Police has raised concerns over the participation of minors in recent protests, warning that some children have been exposed to violent clashes, thrown objects and tear gas.
In a statement issued on the third day of demonstrations, police urged parents and legal guardians to ensure their children’s safety and know their whereabouts.
Authorities also expressed concern over suspected cases of minors being placed on the front lines of confrontations, saying any suspected exploitation of children for unlawful activities would be referred to the relevant institutions.
Police said they respect the right to peaceful protest but called on demonstrators to refrain from violence and protect children from dangerous situations.
