A Spanish tourist in the sixth month of pregnancy was saved by a team of doctors on Wednesday morning, after her life was in danger in Valbona. The tourist was hiking on the Theth-Valbona trail, an area quite frequented by foreigners.
It is learned that she was unprotected, with inappropriate clothing for mountaineering and as a result she fell. After calling for help, the Spanish tourist was taken by helicopter from Valbona.
The young woman is receiving medical care at the Trauma hospital in Tirana and fortunately she and the child are out of danger.
The crossing between Bjeshke on the Theth-Valbona trail is one of the areas most frequented by foreign tourists who prefer adventure.
Due to the difficult terrain, and movement without a guide, foreign tourists have often had accidents in this area, and even deaths have been recorded.
