Premier to Visit Azerbaijan and Turkey, Agenda

After travelling to Germany, Prime Minister Edi Rama will pay a two-day visit to Turkey and Azerbaijan. The visit starts the next day, April 14 and ends on Friday with a meeting with representatives of the company "Tubitak".

The war in Ukraine, as well as the impact on the economy is thought to be one of the topics of discussion. Azerbaijan, once part of the Soviet Union, is one of the gas-producing countries and, as previously stated, plans to increase gas exports by 11 percent this year.

Since December 2020, the country has supplied the European continent via the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). The almost 900-kilometer-long gas corridor crosses the Turkish-Greek border through Albania to Italy.
