President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, appreciated Tuesday the prominent orthopedist and traumatologist, surgeon and scientist Panajot Boga (after death) with the "Honor of the Nation" Decoration.

Motivation for the award was "For the high professional and human contribution and dedication in the field of medicine. As founder of Albanian orthopedics and traumatology, supporting their direction with the most contemporary knowledge, methods and techniques. For the values as a lecturer in the preparation of future generations, surgeon and scientist of European dimensions”.

Meanwhile, at the solemn decoration ceremony organized at the Presidency, which was attended by doctors, colleagues, professors, academics and family members, the Head of State said Boga is a true colossus of Albanian medicine.

“Panajot Boga is the emblem of Albanian Orthopedics and Traumatology, a real colossus of our medicine.

Appreciation and gratitude stem from the highest professional and human commitment and contribution to his people in the field of medicine, as founder of the modern Albanian Traumatology and Orthopedics Service and for supporting and guiding them with contemporary knowledge, methods and techniques; from outstanding scientific and academic values, talent and activity at national and international level; from contribute in the formation and education of generations of young doctors, to serve the country and citizens with professionalism and devotion”, pronounced President of Albania among others.
