While 6 municipalities are waiting to hold local by-elections, President of the Republic, Ilir Meta has made a public invitation to parliamentary parties to participate in a consultation. 

At this consultative meeting, the parties must decide together on the date of these elections. 

President Meta stated that there are 6 municipalities without mayors, namely Vora, Dibra, Shkodra, Lushnja, Rrogozhina and Durrës. While the Central Elections Commission (CEC) says that there is no information that Lushnja, Rrogozhina and Durres are without mayors.
