President of the Republic, Ilir Meta has received Thursday the new Ambassador of Azerbaijan, Anar Huseynov, who presented his Letter of Credentials upon taking office in Albania.

The Head of State revealed he has encouraged a greater presence of Azerbaijani investors in Albania, especially in the fields of energy, tourism and agriculture.

President Meta also confirmed Albania's support for the peaceful settlement of Nogorno-Karabakh conflict.

"I received with pleasure the new Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Albania, Anar Huseynov, on the occasion of the presentation of his Letters of Credentials.

I appreciated the very good political relations between our two countries and encouraged a bigger presence of Azeri investors in Albania, especially in the fields of energy, tourism and agriculture.

I confirmed Albania's support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and for the solution of the conflict around Nogorno-Karabakh in peaceful way, through negotiations in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group", stated President of Albania.
