Prominent Albanian Film Director Dies at 70 Years of Age

Albanian movies director, Vladimir Kasaj, has passed away this Sunday morning at the age of 70. The cause of director’s death was a cerebral ischemia, as the Albaniandailynews.com has learned.

The bad news of the director's death was announced by his family, through a statement on the social networks.

"Dear relatives and friends, we are deeply saddened to announce the death of our beloved man, husband and father Vladimir Kasaj. The funeral will take place at 14.00 in Sharra starting from the funeral agency Alba 2000, near the Medrese, Dibra Street, 302.

Visits will be carried out at this agency, on Tuesday 09/11 from 09:00 to 13 : 00 and 16:00 to 20:00”, the family wrote on the social networks.

Nevertheless, Kasaj is the author of many feature films and TV series such as “Flame of the Mountains”, “Days that brought spring”, “Reconstruction”.

Kasaj belongs to the generation of directors of the 70s, 80s, while leaving behind a wide film production after having studied in Romania at the Romanian Film Academy.
