Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha has accused the government of turning the reconstruction project into a theft and abuse scheme.

During a meeting that Basha had with businesses and citizens in Unit No.6 in Tirana, Basha guaranteed that with his coming to power there will be experts who will accelerate the work for completing the houses damaged by the earthquake of November 26, 2019.

"They also saw reconstruction as an opportunity to steal people. As an opportunity to fill their pockets. I guarantee you that the next government will have experts who will accelerate and end the procrastination of the process for all the families affected by the earthquake according to their demands, not according to the plans of the oligarchs and thieves.

April 25 is a day of change for everyone and it is a day of victory for the families affected by the earthquake. We will make the process transparent, we will speed it up. We will put an end to your ordeal of suffering ", said Basha, among others.
