Quake Shakes Southeastern Albania Early in Morning

An earthquake has shaken the southeastern part of Albania in the early hours of this Wednesday morning. At a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale, the tremor was felt at about 03:40 am.

Epicenter of the earthquake was reported 28 kilometers south of Bucimas in Pogradec, on Lake Ohrid. Fortunately, no victims, injured or material damages have been announced so far.

On January 12, a 4 magnitude hit the south of Albania and its epicenter was 2 kilometers from Himara.

Not so long ago, on November 26, 2019, a devastating earthquake hit Albania, causing 51 victims, around 1000 injured persons, as well as it destroyed thousands of houses.
