Rama Rejects Russia's Claims that 42 Albanians Killed in War
From Pristina, where he read some passages from the latest book of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj on the Russia-Ukraine war, Prime Minister Edi Rama also spoke about the report published by the Russian Embassy in Albania, which said that 42 Albanians from 150 who have gone to the throne of war have been killed.
On this occasion, Rama criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov for spreading false information about the participation of Albanian or Kosovar citizens on the war front in Ukraine.
"What has caught my attention in the war between Russia and Ukraine from the beginning is the fact mentioned by Putin and Lavrov in Moscow, that Kosovo and Albania is included when it comes to fighters in Ukraine. The list of Albanians killed by the international forces in Ukraine comes out and Lavrov does not talk about others but only Albanians and Kosovars, producing figures that are not based on anything, because we have no data or information about our citizens participating in this war," said Rama.
