The renown movie and theater actor and director and People's Artist of Albania, Dhimiter Orgocka died this Friday morning, age 85.

For days he was hospitalized for critical health condition, while this 1rst January he passed away due to s cerebral hemorrhage. Orgocka was born in 1936 in Korce, Albania and graduated in the Faculty of Albanian Language in the University of Tirana.

He started to work as a director right after school in the Andon Zako Cajupi theater of Korçë, on which he has directed around 100 premieres.

His first role as an actor wa that of Gjergj in the "Great Love" (Dashuria e madhe), whereas his first work as a director wa that of "The house on the lane" (Shtëpia në rrugicë).

In 2007 The House of Culture of Maliq was named after him, “Dhimitër Orgocka House of Culture”
