Radiological equipment room in the regional hospital of Saranda was engulfed in flames this Friday morning. 

According to police, the fire broke out around 08:30 in the hospital premises, due to which were fortunately caused only material damage and not casualties or injuries. 

On their part, police suspect that the cause of this fire was an electric spark, but the investigative group went to the scene and is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the event. 

"On 17.06.2022, around 08:30, in the hospital of Saranda, it is suspected that due to an electric spark, a fire broke out in the room of radiological equipment. As a result, only material damage was caused", said the police.
