Special Prosecution against Organized Crime and Corruption (SPAK) has disclosed this Friday the role of Aleksandër Laho, known as "Rumi i Shijak", in the property alienation issue in Lalez Bay. 

Sources from the investigation group said that the Prosecutor's Office has managed to provide data about Laho's actions, on which accusations have been raised by SPAK, for "corruption" and "alienation of property", in the Lalëz Bay area. 

Evidence against him was also provided by the messages and conversations sent and received through the "Sky ECC" encrypted application. 

This app and "Enkro Chat" were cracked by Europol in 2021, revealing links to criminal organizations across Europe and the world. 

Last week, the Anticorruption Structure addressed a request to the Special Court for "prison arrest" against Aleksandër Laho,which was accepted by the latter by forwarding the arrest warrant to the Police for execution. 

Nevertheless, the investigations into the alienation of properties in Gjirin e Lalëzi started a few months after the 2019 assassination attempt. 

In the phones seized earlier by SPAK for this event, conversations, interceptions and videos were found where there was talk about the alienation of about 45 thousand m2 of land in the area of Lalëzi Bay. 

Sources from the investigative group have said that in addition to the alienation of 45 thousand m2 of land, Aleksandër Laho is suspected of being involved in the alienation of 14 plots. 

This is the second measure of arrest in absentia against this person after a few months ago.

Laho was declared wanted for illegal deprivation of liberty after the testimony of the Beqiraj brothers.
