Sixty Albanians Live in Ukraine

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, has announced Friday that there are dozens of Albanians in Ukraine, but 11 of them, who are part of the OSCE mission, will be evacuated.

"There is a small community of Albanians in Ukraine who have started families and got married there. There are 11 Albanians in the OSCE who are part of the evacuation plan. They are all well we are in communication with them, they will return to Albania. For the rest of the Albanians, we were in contact with a small part of them, 5-6 people who asked for assistance to move from Ukraine. It has been impossible by air. We have suggested land routes, and our embassies are ready to receive them. There are about 60 Albanians in Ukraine," she said.

On the second day of the attack, it appears that Russia and Ukraine are heading to a concrete negotiating table to end the war. It was the first President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, who, in Russian, directly appealed to Vladimir Putin, urging him to sit down at the negotiating table to stop the deaths of innocent civilians.

Zelensky's call was answered by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who said Russia was ready for talks with Ukraine in Minsk, Belarus' capital. Russia has conditioned this meeting with the declaration of a "neutral status" of Ukraine.
