Wintery weather is rolling into southern of Albania bringing mixed precipitation, freezing rain, heavy snow and strong wind gusts, making travel hazardous in some parts of the Korca villages and Bulqiza in the north. 

The winter storm is expected to roll into southwestern of country overnight on Monday, bringing rain and freezing rain for and widespread snow on Tuesday morning. 

The most affected areas are the villages of Korca, Dardhe and Vithkuq and the villages near Bulqiza.

Snowfall rates of as much as two centimetres per hour are expected, with accumulation amounts in the range of 5 to 10 centimetres.

Fortunately all the roads are open and passable, police informed.
