SPAK Seeks Confiscation of EUR 3.4 in ‘Toyota Yaris’ Operation
The Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution has requested the confiscation of 3.5 million euros sequestered in Durres during the "Toyota Yaris" operation.
SPAK also demanded on Wednesday that the properties in Lalzi Bay of brothers Alfred and Elvis Vladi be confiscated.
"The monetary values ​​are 3,432,130 euros and 80,000 Swiss francs. A two-storey residential building with a ground floor area of ​​147.6 m2, the first floor with an area of ​​158.5 m2 and a plot of land with an area of ​​404 m2, on which the building is built, located in Administrative Unit No.11, Tirana. A real estate with an area of ​​140 m2, located in the village of Draç - Ishëm in Lalzi Bay, Durrës. Immovable property with an area of ​​873 m2, located in the village of Draç - Ishëm in the Bay of Lalzi, Durres â€, are the assets that SPAK has requested to be confiscated.
On the evening of June 24, 2018, the Albanian police seized about 3.4 million euros hidden in two cars type "Toyota Yaris" in the port of Durres.
Immediately at the scene, the police arrested the owner of the transport company Edi Lika, Klevis Lika, the son of the owner of the company, and the truck driver Agim Çeku.
A day later, on June 25, police arrested Alban Mollaymeri, the businessman who ordered the cars from Belgium.
Of the Vladi brothers, only Ervis Vlasi is on trial for "Non-declaration at the border". Meanwhile, Agim Çeka is also on trial for "Illegal possession of weapons".
The case of the suspects, Alfred Vladi, Edi LIka, Klevi Cani and Alban Mollaymeri has been stopped.
