Italian Football Federation has put an end to all dilemmas, by making official the name of Luciano Spalletti as the new coach of the national team, a few days after the sudden departure of Roberto Mancini from its management. 

The Italian Federation, through a press release, has announced that it has found an agreement with Spalletti, and he will start work in the first days of September, when his presentation would also be made during the gathering of the Italian representative for the Euro 2024 qualifiers, when Italy plays against North Macedonia and Ukraine. 

"We welcome Spaleti, the national team needed a great coach and I am very happy that he has accepted the technical leadership of the Blues. His enthusiasm and competence will be essential for the challenges that await Italy in the coming months", said FIGC president Gabriele Gravina.
