Spiropali Calls for Dialogue as Opposition Continues Protests
The Parliament Speaker, Elisa Spiropali, urged to the opposition members of Parliament this Thursday to negotiate and find a way out to collaborate within Parliament.
She said that the ruling majority is ready anytime to negotiate and discuss over the main problems of the country.
"We are ready to sit at any time, but let's sit in the chairs that the citizens have chosen for us, not burn them.
I am telling you once again that we are all ready to sit in the conference of the chairmen and in the office to make it possible for the honourable opposition MPs to find a dignified way to return to the assembly again as we found it in January.
I understand that it is difficult, but we cannot continue in a cyclical manner to repeat such completely artificial situations, which do not originate from the problems of the parliamentarianism of this hall, but originate from the deep problems that the political parties have" said Spiropali.
