Sterilization Concession, Former Health Minister to Remain in Jail

The court has left the former Minister of Health, Klodian Rrjepaj and the businessman Ilir Rrapaj, in jail, as well as some of the other accused in the sterilization case, who asked for a lighter security measure. 

The hearing for 6 of the 8 people accused in this case, who appealed the security measures given by the Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, was held today (September 4). 

The former Deputy Minister of Health Klodian Rjepaj, the businessman who won the tender Ilir Rrapaj, Marsela Serjani, Saimir Kadiu, Arben Gjata and Genc Burazeri complained about the measures in the Special Appeal.

The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a monocratic panel composed of judge Nertina Kosova, today on 04.10.2023, announced the decision on criminal case no. 43 act, date 26.09.2023 registration, registered on the complaints of the persons under investigation A.Gj., G.B., I.R., K.R., M.S., S.K., to decisions no. 49, dated 23.06.2023 and no. 102, dated 18.08.2023 (in the case of personal security measures) of the First Instance Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime, and decided: 

- Approval of decision no. 102. act dated 18.08.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime for the person under investigation K.R. 

- Approval of decision no. 49, dated 23.06.2023 and decision no. 102.act dated 18.08.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime for the person under investigation I.R 

- Approval of decision no. 102.act dated 18.08.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime for the person under investigation M.S. 

-Approval of decision no. 49, dated 23.06.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime for the person under investigation S.K. 

- Approval of decision no. 102.act dated 18.08.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime for the person under investigation G.B
