The Tax Administration has sent a sensitizing message to businesses in the country, within the initiative of the government for the drafting of a National Plan that guarantees the payment of Social and Health Insurance for a secure pension in the future.

According to the announcement, the Tax Administration, as an institution responsible for the collection of social and health contribution obligations, will evaluate, analyze, record, and treat all cases of phenomena and taxpayers with risk in this field.

The Tax Administration announces that during the implementation of this initiative, it will monitor the data that the subjects themselves declare, will cross the information through the IT systems it has, as well as with third parties for any information related to employees.

Taxes have asked the subjects to declare accurately and truthfully by October 20, 2024, the data regarding Employees working in the enterprise; Their real wages; Working time; The profession of the employee; Employment category.

Taxes warn that the false declaration of these data is considered tax evasion and as such constitutes a misdemeanor, according to Law 9920/2008, "On Tax Procedures", as amended and Law No. 7961, dated 12.7.1995 "Labor Code of the Republic of Albania" as amended.

According to the announcement, the false statement violates the right of individuals employed in the Republic of Albania to benefit from a well-deserved pension, a phenomenon against which there will be no tolerance.
