Tensions escalated during the 94th consecutive anti-government protest in Albania, as demonstrators clashed with police forces near one of the entrances to the Prime Minister’s Office in Tirana.

Police reportedly escorted 11 protesters from the scene following the clashes. The protesters were reportedly taken to Police Station No. 1, although authorities have yet to provide further details about their status.

The confrontation came after police repeatedly used loudspeakers to warn demonstrators to remain away from the government building. Officers subsequently intervened to push back protesters who attempted to advance toward the Prime Minister’s Office.

Prime Minister Edi Rama was inside the building when protesters attempted to enter the premises. He later left the Prime Minister’s Office under heavy security, according to reports from the scene.

The protest marks the 94th day of sustained mobilization against the government. Demonstrators are calling primarily for Rama’s resignation, while also demanding a change in the country’s political leadership and the formation of a transitional government.
