The Union of Judges Condemn Explosion at Judge's House

The Union of Judges of Albania expressed its concern regarding the criminal event that happened Sunday in Shkodra where an explosive was put on the house of the Judge, Tonin Sterkaj.

In a public statement, the judges union said that support the judge an his family and strongly condemns this 'ugly criminal act' which is directed not only at fellow judge Tonin Sterkaj but also at all magistrates (judges and prosecutors) in the Republic of Albania, who with dedication and in conditions of an extremely high workload, media and political pressure, try every day to give justice.

"The Union of Judges of Albania emphasizes that this treacherous attack is aimed not only at intimidation of magistrates but also at the violation of public order and security, as well as strengthening the rule of law and the rule of law in Albania! The Union of Judges of Albania asks the law enforcement bodies to act faster than the previous cases, to identify, catch and bring to criminal responsibility every possible author of this ugly criminal act, giving a special message that the magistrates in Republic of Albania have the maximum support of the State, to carry out their duty in a peaceful manner without endangering their life, health, property and their family members from crime, as one of the basic conditions for strengthening the law, the state of law and prosperity of the country," says the statement.
