Three Czech Tourists Blocked in Theth-Valbona Mountains

Three Czech Republic tourists have been stranded this Sunday in the mountainous area between the small village within Shkodra County of Theth and Valbona village in the Kukës County.

According to the police, officers of Tropoja Police Station, together with the medical team, headed towards the area where the tourists are suspected to be trapped to help them.

However, intervention by helicopter was requested to save the tourists, considering that the area is mountainous and impossible for ground vehicles to penetrate.

"Around 10:07, we were informed that on the border between Theth and Valbona, 3 Czech tourists exploring the area, due to the steep terrain, were blocked.

Immediately after receiving the notification, the police services of the Tropoja Police Station, together with the medical team, headed towards the area where the tourists are suspected to be trapped.

Due to the difficult and steep terrain and the distance of the tourists from the area that can be traversed by vehicle, the intervention of the helicopter was requested, in order to provide assistance to the tourists", informed the law enforcement.
