Seven days after the explosion of the gas cylinder in Velipoja where four members of Gjoka family were injured, one of the daughters of the family died in Italy. 

19-year-old Danjela Gjoka could not cope with severe burns she received and passed away in Italy, 5 days after she was sent for specialized treatment. Meanwhile, her mother Alketa, 15-year-old sister Klarisa and 12-year-old brother Enriku are under the care of doctors in serious health condition. 

The serious incident happened on the morning of July 4th. The 3-storey hotel owned by this family was engulfed in flames after the fire broke out as a result of gas leaking from a 3-5 kg ​​camping gas cylinder. Thankfully there were no tourists in the hotel at the time of the blast. 

The injured were initially sent to Tirana, but seeing the serious health condition as a result of the high rate of burns were sent to Italy, where Danjela Gjoka passed away.
