Turkish Ambassador: We Will Not Allow FETO to Poison Albania-Turkey's Relationship

The Turkish ambassador to Albania, Tayyar Kagan Atay, commented the last phone conversation made between the Prime Minister Edi Rama and the President of Turkey, Recep Tayip Erdogan.

Atay said that the friendship between the two leaders is already known, while he unveiled that during their conversation they talked about many issues, including international relations.

He further added that Erdogan has also touched on the ongoing request already made public by the Turkish president for the cleansing of the Feto organization.

According to the ambassador, this organization, which according to him has been extended to education and religion in Albania, should not be allowed to "poison" the relations between the countries.

"Many issues were discussed, among them even the part of the continuous request made public by our President for the cleansing of the Feto terrorist organization here in Albania, especially in the field of education and religion. They are dangerous. This cleaning process should not only be done for Turkey, it should be done for a safer future for Albania as well.

We will definitely get conclusions on this topic and there are developments, we will not allow them to 'poison' the relationship between the two countries.

As an ambassador, I have this issue as my primary tasks and I want to emphasize it today in front of all, we will go to the end of this.
