Turkish-Funded Houses to Be Ready by March

Some 160 new apartments, part of one of the blocks of buildings that are being constructed thanks to donations from the Turkish government in the Laç area, will be ready for families affected by the November 26 earthquake within March, Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Wednesday during a visit in Laç, accompanied by the Minister for Reconstruction, Arben Ahmetaj.

The reconstruction project in this area, one of the most affected by the earthquake, includes educational facilities, as well as the city hospital, the procurement for which starts within 10 days, Rama added.

During his visit, PM Rama also monitored the works for the reconstruction of the elementary school "Dan Bajrami" which is expected to open its doors to 440 students within the month of November.

This school is part of the reconstruction project, after the destruction caused by the tragic earthquake of November 26. The new school will have a kindergarten inside. It has 15 new classrooms, 4 labs, a gym and sports fields.
