Two Albanians Extradited from Italy, Greece on Drugs Charges

Two Albanian citizens accused of criminal activity in the field of narcotics have been extradited to their homeland, as reported this Sunday.

32-year-old Gjergji Luli was extradited from Italy after being placed in "Prison Arrest", for the offenses "Production and sale of narcotics", "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of offenses by a structured criminal group".

In cooperation with another, the 32-year-old allegedly transported and then sold a quantity of the narcotic substance cocaine, for 200,000 euros, to two other people.

According to the police, the latter trafficked and sold this amount of drugs in the area of Bergamo, Italy, between March and November 2016.

Also, in January 2017, in Bergamo, another amount of cocaine was seized, which it is suspected that the 32-year-old and his accomplice had sold to these persons.

Meanwhile, the 48-year-old Arben Cufe, who was wanted internationally for drug trafficking, was extradited from Greece.

This citizen was wanted since in 2019, after the court assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics", committed in cooperation.

Arben Cufe, in collaboration with another, is suspected of having organized the trafficking of a quantity of the narcotic substance cannabis in the Greek state.

The amount of narcotics was transported to Greece against payment in euros by four citizens, who were arrested by the police.

The 2 citizens extradited to Albania were handed over to the General Directorate of Prisons for further procedural actions.
