Brothers Alban and Olsi Eftimi have been summoned to Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK) as part of an investigation concerning a villa linked to Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

The two architects are reportedly providing explanations to investigators from the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH) as prosecutors examine the circumstances surrounding a property in Palasë, on Albania’s southern coast.

The Eftimi brothers’ names appear in investigative materials related to the case, including emails, cost estimates and other documents concerning the design and construction of Villa 188/1 at the Green Coast resort in Palasë. The villa has reportedly been placed under preventive seizure by Albania’s Special Court.

According to communications obtained by SPAK investigators, the architects exchanged emails directly with Balluku using her personal Gmail address.

One such communication, dated September 14, 2020, was sent by architect Alban Eftimi to Balluku and included a revised version of the project. The email, titled “PLANE REV 01,” discussed design considerations for the property, including the possibility that it could eventually be rented out.

The questioning of the Eftimi brothers comes as SPAK continues its investigation into the property and the circumstances surrounding its construction and ownership. The allegations and evidence cited in the investigation remain subject to the ongoing legal process.
