UN Inspectors Arrive at Russian-held Nuclear Plant

The International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors have arrived at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant in southeastern Ukraine.

A reporter observed the UN team arrive at the plant in a large convoy with a heavy Russian military presence nearby.

Ukraine's state nuclear company Energoatom also confirms the IAEA mission has arrived at the complex.

The UN inspectors are hoping to assess the safety of the plant and its equipment, as well as the speak to the Ukrainian staff, who have operating it while it is occupied by Russia, to gauge how they and the facility are coping.
