The US Embassy in Tirana was lit up this Friday with the colors of the Ukrainian flag as a sign of solidarity. 

"We stand with Ukraine," the US embassy said in a statement.

Russia has launched a military offensive against Ukraine since yesterday morning. On the second day of Russia's large-scale attack on Ukraine explosions were heard over the Ukrainian capital early in the morning and during the day they have increased. 

There have been over 100 persons killed since yesterday morning, referring to different international media.
