Municipality of Tirana hosted a festive lunch this Friday, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, in all its social centers, for families in need, the elderly and persons with disabilities. 

Mayor Erion Veliaj and the well-known rapper Noizy served lunch at the "Gonxhe Bojaxhi" social center in Tirana. Veliaj said that it is very important that, especially on holidays and difficult days, we stay close to each other. 

"I thank you very much for the iftars that you have served throughout the holy month of Ramadan, because during the holidays, when the community comes together, those who have a family situation or a difficulty, feel the absence of a relative more. When we are together, the joy is doubled and I am glad that we have started this tradition, where we are always joined by a friend, a good friend, to serve and to understand that we have linked our lives together, we have linked our destinies together. It is not possible for some to move forward and some to stay behind. We will all move forward together and do our best. Gjergj Fishta used to say: We have Bajram, we have Easter, but we have Albania together. As long as our little Albania has a big heart to respect everyone, I am very happy that the Municipality of Tirana, as it has respected both Christmas and Easter, also respects the Muslim community with fireworks last night and with the celebrations today", said Veliaj. 

On the other hand, Noizy congratulated the believers on the holiday and said that he is proud that Tirana offers such services to people in need. 

"I hope you are all well. Personally, I did not know that these types of centers exist. I knew that there are 1 or 2, but the fact that Tirana has 9 such, I wish that all other cities take an example from the Municipality of Tirana and help people in need, especially those affected by the earthquake. May God give you health, have patience because the most beautiful days are coming and with each other's help we can get ahead", said Noizy.
