Vlora Prosecution Seizes Properties Worth 35 million Euro in Himare

Vlora Prosecution Office seized 30 properties in Himara registered under the names of Jani Joshi and Andon Joshi, under investigation for the criminal offence of “Falsification of documents” committed more than once and “Laundering the proceeds of the criminal offence or criminal activity”.

During the investigations, as part of criminal case No. 51 of 2021, Vlora Prosecution Office found that the properties amounting to 247,000 square meters in Himara, at approximately 35 million euros, were acquired by the aforementioned individuals through the use of counterfeit documents.

The prosecution proved that the key document used for the registration and acquisition of these properties at the Vlora Court of Appeal was falsified.

Consequently, upon prosecution’s request, the court decided the imposition of the preventive seizure of the 30 (thirty) properties in the Cadastral Zone 1592 in Himara.
