Wanted Albanian Arrested by Greek Police

A 39-year-old Albanian, who was known by three different names to the Greek authorities and managed to escape from the police after an episodic pursuit, has been arrested.

According to reports from the Greek media, it is learned that the 39-year-old was caught by chance during a check by the DI.AS team in Thessaloniki.

During the search of the vehicle where the Albanian was with several other people, it turned out that he was convicted of manslaughter, but was released on bail.

The suspect tried to escape this time as well, but the policemen of the DI.AS team managed to neutralize and arrest him in a bush after trying to hide during the chase.

The Albanian appeared before the Teranetari Criminal Court of Thessaloniki and was sentenced to 18 months in prison, for the case in which he was arrested, on charges of resistance and disobedience.

The court decided that his sentence does not have deterrent force since the accused has disturbed justice several times and thus was sent to prison.
