Western Albania Shaken by Earthquake

Port city Durrës in western Albania was shaken Friday afternoon by an earthquake of 3.5 magnitude and a depth of 5 kilometers, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reveals.

According to EMSC data, the convulsion’s epicenter was in the Adriatic Sea, 42 kilometers away from Tirana and 33 kilometers away from Durres. Fortunately, no injured or material damages have been reported so far.

By the end of September, earth tremors were felt 4 kilometers away from Lushnja and 33 kilometers away from the city of Elbasan.
