Tirana Police announced this Sunday it has arrested five persons during the past 24 hours for different wrongdoings. 

The persons in question have been handcuffed for various criminal offenses, ranging from violence, intimidation, violation of the traffic code, as well as one of them was declared nationally wanted. 

"Specialists for the Investigation of Crime in the Police Commissariat No. 2 made the arrest in flagrante delicto of the citizen M. B., 41 years old, after he exercised physical and psychological violence against his wife. 

Specialists for the Investigation of Crime in the Police Commissariat No. 3, arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen G. R., 26 years old, after on 05.03.2021, under the threat of a cutting tool, he stole some products in the shop of the citizen P. B. 

Following the work to apprehend nationally wanted persons and bring them to justice, the services of Commissariat No. 6 arrested the citizen E.K, 45 years old, declared wanted for the criminal offense "Shameful acts" as on 01.02.2021, he committed shameful acts in the presence of a minor citizen. 

Traffic specialists made the arrest in flagrante delicto of the citizens: E. M., 20 years old, after being caught driving the vehicle without proper permission; E. L., 37 years old, after yesterday he was involved in an accident with 2 other vehicles. As a result of the accident, 2 drivers lost their lives, citizens T.M, 59 years old and B.K, 58 years old, as well as the citizen R.K, 44 years old, a passenger in the vehicle driven by B.K. A 10-year-old minor citizen was also injured, who is in the hospital under the care of doctors. 

The materials were forwarded to the Tirana Judicial District Prosecutor's Office for further action," Police informed.
