Albania celebrated Thursday the 112th anniversary of independence. 

Hundreds gathered to join celebrations in the main Boulevard.

The Albania's independence was announced on 1912 from Vlora, where the national flag was raised, as a symbol of freedom, independence, dreams for a better future of the Albanian nation in the midst of the advanced nations of the world.

On this day, Ismail Qemali was declared the speaker of the Assembly and the first speaker of the government of the Albanian state.

With the act of declaring Albania's independence, the head of the Provisional Government, Ismail Qemali, notified the six Great Powers, England, Italy, Austria-Hungary, France, Germany and Russia.
