An interactive discussion was held this early Wednesday in the residence of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Albania focusing on the safety of journalists.

The meeting was attended by several institutional stakeholders from parliament, judicial institutions, media organizations, and international representatives.

"The safety of journalists and media independence is a crucial aspect of democracy and an important milestone for Albania’s EU accession. We are committed to maintaining a strict, fair, and engaged approach to such matters of high importance," says embassy in a short statement.
