1 Year Since Earthquake, DP Leader Demands Reconstruction Completion

Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha went to visit one of the families most affected by the November 26 earthquake in Thumana.

Through some photos shared on social networks, Basha asked why the reconstruction process has not finished as raised the question on where the donor money has gone.

According to Basha, the reconstruction work is far from being fulfilled and only a part of the donations and aid has gone to the citizens affected by the earthquake.

"It is unacceptable to see how little the government has done since the disaster. We have heard so many promises and so few results. As during all this time I met with families today who unfortunately are expected to spend the second winter in tents. Reconstruction work is far from fulfilling.

Only a part of the donations and aid went to the citizens affected by the earthquake. Where is the donor money? Where are the promises? Albania has no more time to lose. Albanian families deserve more. Albania needs a functioning government that works for the people. We will form this government and we will bring hope to Albania," Basha stated.
