14-Day Quarantine Imposed for Albanians Entering Greece

The Ministry of Civil Protection of Greece announces the restrictions that will be in force until May 14 in the framework of measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. 

Regarding Albanian citizens, Greece imposes a 14-day quarantine, the same measures that Albania imposed on all citizens entering from Greece. 

The following measures are in force: 

The border between Greece and Albania will continue to be considered closed, and as a result no connection is allowed, either land or sea. Buses, mini-busses, cars with Albanian license plates and boats are banned from entering Greece. 

Albanian citizens who want to come to Greece for tourist or visiting reasons are not allowed to enter Greece. Persons with Albanian passports or 90-day-olds are prohibited. Only persons with a residence permit or Greek citizenship are allowed to enter Greece. 

For all persons who will enter Greece, regardless of citizenship or vehicle traveling (plane, bus, car, etc.) must complete PLF Form 24-48 hours before arrival in Greece. 

For all persons who will enter Greece, regardless of citizenship or vehicle traveling it is necessary to submit a negative RT-PCR Test which must be done up to 72 hours before departure for Greece. 

For all persons who will enter Greece from Albania, regardless of citizenship or the vehicle they travel in, they must undergo a 14-day quarantine at their home. 

The border points will work every day from 7.00 to 19.00, from the Kakavija border point will be allowed to cross up to 400 people. Kapshtica will be closed. 

All passengers moving outside Greece must also complete the PLF 24 hours before the trip.
