17-Year-Old Who Crashed Italian Tourists to Death Arrested

The 17-year-old who killed the two Italian tourists in Saranda this Thursday morning (August 24) has been arrested by the police. 

It is learned that the young man, identified as Elio Rraku, is accused of two criminal offences, "violation of traffic rules" resulting in the death of several persons according to Article 290/4 and "improper driving". 

The "Mercedes Benz" vehicle that was driven by the 17-year-old, who was accompanied by a 16-year-old, collided with the "Honda" type motorcycle where there were two Italian citizens, Domenico Gritto and Vicenzo Tizziano, who died. 

Regarding the serious event, the General Directorate of the State Police also reacted, which suspended Deputy Commissioner Adriatik Shehu from the duties of the Head of the Traffic Police Section at the Sarandë Police Station.
