Albania has provided the first doses of the Chinese Covid-19 vaccine "Coronavac". On Thursday noon, the first 192.000 doses of this vaccine were sent to our country. This was the reason for which the Prime Minister Edi Rama traveled to Istanbul a day ago.

Prime Minister unveiled that he was there to monitor the whole process of boarding the vaccines, while he was accompanied by the Minister of Reconstruction, Arben Ahmetaj.

As can be seen from the images that Rama published on social media, the first 192.000 doses departed from the Turkish airport. He further said that another 1 million vaccines have been provided.

"We have provided 1 million other vaccines. We have contracted for the moment half a million doses within 60 days. We bring 192 thousand to Tirana today. When I tell you we will succeed, never doubt that we will succeed. Albania is smiling", Rama writes.
