25 Albanian citizens who had sought asylum in France were repatriated from Lille.

This operation was carried out on the basis of an agreement with the relevant EU authorities. Each group of repatriates is accompanied by an Albanian Police escort.

Such repatriation operations will continue in the coming months.

The State Police appeals to all Albanian citizens traveling to EU countries, to respect the rules of movement in the Schengen area and not to seek asylum, as the chances of obtaining it are zero.

Meanwhile, the Border Police has increased the controls at the border crossing points, for the documentation and fulfillment of the conditions for traveling to EU countries, as well as has strengthened the controls at the green border.
