The Ministry of Education informed this Sunday evening that ordered to be suspended teaching process in 77 schools especially in North of Albania, due to heavy snowfalls.

In a short notice, the ministry said that due to heavy snowfalls, teaching will be suspended in schools in Mat, Diber, Bulqize, Kruje, Has, Kukes, Miredite, Kurbin and Puke, where the weather conditions are worse.

"This decision has been taken to ensure the safety of students, teachers and educational staff in the areas most affected by the bad weather. The Ministry of Education and Sports is in constant communication with local authorities and civil emergency headquarters to monitor the situation and take further measures, if deemed necessary. We remain maximally committed to ensuring the safety of students, teachers and educational staff and for any change in the situation, we will inform the public," says statement.
