Bujar Spahiu, Elected New Chairman of KMSH

Bujar Spahiu was elected on Saturday the new Chairman of the Muslim Community of Albania (KMSH) in the elections that took place earlier this day.

Spahiu previously held the post of vice Chairman of KMSH and was elected at the head of this institution with 59 votes.

“You have honored me and put me in front of the difficulty. I pray to God to be righteous in this difficult task. Pray to God to make this burden easier for me. KMSH in my leadership will preserve the ancestors’ tradition,” said Spahiu.

In the race were Tirana’s Mufti Ylli Gurra who received 26 votes and Lushnja’s Mufti Gramoz Blliku, who received 2 votes.

Bujar Spahiu is the 10th Chairman of the Muslim Community of Albania, while after winning the victory, he was expressed honored but also determined ahead of the challenges.
