Albania Donates EUR 1Mln Aid to Ukraine

Albania donates one million euros of humanitarian financial aid to the government of Ukraine. The decision was approved on June 10 by the Council of Ministers. 

This fund, as stated in the decision, will be covered by the reserve fund of the state budget, approved for 2022. 

Decision of the Council of Ministers approved on June 10, 2022: 

DECISION ABOUT PROVISION OF HUMANITARIAN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE GOVERNMENT OF UKRAINE 

Pursuant to Article 100 of the Constitution, Articles 5 and 45, of Law no. 9936, dated 26.6.2008, "On the management of the budget system in the Republic of Albania", as amended, and Article 14, of Law no. 115 / 2021, "On the budget of 2022", amended, on the proposal of the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Council of Ministers decided: 

Provision of humanitarian financial assistance by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania to the Government of Ukraine, in the amount of 1,000,000 (one million) euros. 

To the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, in the approved budget for 2022, in the budget program 01120 "Diplomatic support abroad", economic account 605, to be added the ALL equivalent of the fund of 1 000 000 (one million) euros. 

This fund should be covered by the reserve fund of the state budget, approved for 2022. 

The Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance and Economy are in charge of implementing this decision. This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette".
