Albania Imposes New Lockdown as Covid-19 Cases Soar

Albania imposed the country’s second nationwide lockdown starting from Wednesday November 11 to combat a resurgence of the coronavirus outbreak, the expert committee decided on Monday. 

"We have decided that all bars and restaurants to close from 22:00 PM to 06:00 am. While will be allowed to move only those citizens who have an emergency or must work. At the same time, smart working will be applied to all public administration employees and all these new restrictions will be in force starting from November 11," said the expert and vice Health Minister Mira Rakacolli.  

New restrictions will be analyzed every week as this situation will be in force for at least three weeks. The only service allowed is delivery. 

New lockdown was proposed after the worsening outbreak registered the last two weeks that is starting to strain hospital system.
