Albania-Italy Relations, Beyond Politics; PM Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama gave an interview to La7 television in Italy, also talking about his close relationship with his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni.

During the interview, Prime Minister Rama said that despite the different political perspectives with him, there are many things that unite him.

"I belong to another left-wing politics that resembles that of Clinton or even Romano Prodi. If necessary, our left makes decisions that can be interpreted as right-wing politics. In all these years, there has never been a difference in relations between Albania and Italy, regardless of the political color of the government.

There have always been friendships and relationships related to similar history or even culture. There are important strategic projects between the two countries that need to be implemented. Italy is Albania's advocate in the integration process and is a country to follow as an example", said Rama.

Meanwhile, the Head of Albanian Government spoke for the tourist boom in Albania during this season, the visit of Giorgia Meloni and the economic relations between the two countries.

"The situation in Albania has changed. It's fantastic because we haven't spent anything on this kind of advertising that has been done to the country all over Europe. We hope that this success will follow us in the future without losing our minds", added Rama.
