GEN-E-Albania: Tirana Bank Always Supporting Young Entrepreneurs and Innovation

For the fourth consecutive year, Tirana Bank, part of BALFIN Group, has supported one of the most impactful festivals dedicated to educating and empowering ambitious youth. The National Entrepreneurship Festival – GEN-E-Albania, organized by Junior Achievement Albania, took place on May 8-9 at the Pyramid of Tirana, transforming it into a vibrant hub of energy, creativity, and innovation from young people.

The festival brought together 150 students from all over the country, while highlighting and giving importance to the vision of 26 companies created by them.

Tirana Bank supported the event financially and also played a key role as part of the jury in selecting the finalist companies. These companies showcased innovations in fields such as environmental solutions, agriculture, mental health care, and general well-being.

In her welcome speech, Lila Canaj, Director of the Retail Division at Tirana Bank, assured that young people will always have the bank's support.

“This event is not just a competition, but a valuable opportunity for young Albanians to express their talent and potential. Tirana Bank is always ready to support them on this journey because we believe that together we can build the leaders of tomorrow,” said Canaj, emphasizing the bank’s recognition of education as one of the key pillars for the long-term development of the country.

Among the winners, “SilverSprings” from "Arben Broci" school in Tirana was named the best company of the festival. “FIPLAST” won the award for the most innovative idea, while “METAL ART” from the Professional School of Korça was recognized for its market readiness. "ME'DIT" from TES school was also awarded for the best marketing and sales plan.

The finalists and winners were selected from 510 students who were part of the “Student Companies” program by Junior Achievement of Albania. This program, during the 2024-2025 school year, took place in 41 high schools and universities, engaging not only entrepreneurial students but also teachers.

At the closing of the festival, the best teacher of the year was named Genci Nelaj from "Sherif Hoxha" high school in Koplik.

Tirana Bank continues to remain true to its mission of empowering communities, especially young people, by supporting events like GEN-E-Albania, thereby demonstrating a strong commitment to financial education and entrepreneurship.

For Tirana Bank, financial education is what every young person needs to face the challenges of the job market. This is also why the bank is always present in initiatives that serve as a bridge between knowledge and practice.
