Albania-Poland Match, Police Announces Measures' Plan

The State Police has revealed the plan of measures for the success of the Albania-Poland match, which will be played on Sunday evening, September 10, at 20:45, at the "Air Albania" stadium. 

Relying on the positive experience for planning, organizing and managing the situation of order and public safety during the development of international football matches, the measures taken by the State Police are as follows: 

-Escorting and securing the football players of the Polish football team, from Rinas airport to the hotel, to the stadium and back to Rinas; 

-Escorting and securing the football players of the Albanian football team at the stadium; 

- Carrying out a detailed check on the stadium premises and inside the stadium, for unauthorized persons, prohibited items and substances, before the fans enter; 

- Organization of services to guarantee public order before, during and after the end of the football match, not only near the stadium, but also the control of the territory in the whole city of Tirana; 

- Ensuring emergency service routes; 

- Road traffic management in the city of Tirana, before, during and after the football match. 

The blue uniforms have announced that vehicle traffic restrictions will be applied on several roads near the stadium from 15:00 until the end of the match. 

Roads that will be blocked: 

- "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, 20 m above the Dajti bridge; 
- "Pope John Paul II" street; 
- "Dervish Hima" street, near the US embassy; 
- "Asim Zeneli" street, near the US embassy"; 
- "Themistokli Gërmenji" street; 
- "Ismail Qemali" street, at the intersection of the high school; 
- "Mustafa Matohiti" street, near "Kosova" school; 
- "Jul Variboba" street, near the post office; 
- "Lekë Dukagjini" street, near the former Guard of the Republic; 
- "Avdyl Frashëri" street, near 'Libri Universitar' intersection. 

In the meantime, State Police employees will carry out detailed checks on fans, before entering the stadium, in order to prevent racist banners, fireworks, flares, pyrotechnic items, coins, umbrellas, lighters, phone chargers from entering the stadium. and other strong items dangerous to the life and health of the participants. 

The gates to the stadium will open at 17:00 on the day of the match and the Blues have appealed to fans attending the match at the stadium to arrive on time and comply with the rules.
