Albania has recorded a daily increase of coronavirus cases, with 589 positive tests recorded in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile 7 citizens have passed away, compared to 4 losses recorded a day ago.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection on the eve of New Year's Eve appeals to citizens to celebrate with the small family, to limit the risk of spreading COVID19.

In the last 24 hours, 449 citizens have recovered, bringing the number of recovered to 33,634 since the beginning of the epidemic.

Currently in 4 COVID hospitals, 284 patients are being treated, 26 in intensive therapy, while 8 patients are intubated.

“Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, 7 citizens did not win the battle with COVID19; 3 citizens from Tirana, 1 citizen from Durrës, 1 citizen from Fieri, 1 citizen from Vlora, 1 citizen from Milot, aged 55-82,” Ministry announced.
